Both the Town and the County are working towards resubmitting for Council consideration, the Purchase Agreement to convey the 5-acres of land at the February 8 Council meeting. The only element that was holding up the approval of the Purchase Agreement was the inspection and the clean up of the illegal dumping, which was discovered on the proposed water tower site. Negotiations on this issue has resulted in progress to resolve this issue amicably for both parties. Modifications to the Purchase Agreement will be made by the County and Town Attorney, and should be finalized to allow this item to be formally acted on in the February 8 Council meeting.
