Motion from 10.28.21 BAR Special Meeting:(see highlighted)
a. CDA21-03 – Bia Kitchen
Board member Gloeckner made a motion that the BAR approve the submission on CDA21-03 Bia Kitchen, 108 N. 21st Street, with the following conditions:
- The proposed set back of the door of 12” plus or minus to move towards the street, reducing the actual set back is accepted and approved. That door will have a solid panel transom above it with a painted message of “Euro Inspired Locally Grown”.
- It will have a new front door built in the same fashion as the old - it is the same dimension, 42” wide;
- Two old steel windows cleaned up will be installed 55”x 52” each side flanking the door;
- The bay inset will have two old sidelights of 14”x 52” that are made of the same period, painted black and are steel;
- Four retro wood pilasters will be framing this entire opening and proportionately laid out with period trims to frame in these windows with the header being plus or minus at the top of the head of the steel windows would be these new pilasters;
- The windows above the new installed units will be newly built steel windows as transom windows above that and the color will be black;
- Applicant will investigate further what do with removing the paint from the brick. At this time no color has been approved.
