Closed Meeting

SUMMARY and RECOMMENDATIONS:
The purpose of the closed meeting is to discuss or consider the acquisition of real property for a public purpose, where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the public body. Specifically, the Town Council will discuss the County’s conveyance of land near Woodgrove High School to the Town.

MOTION(S):

MOTION TO GO INTO CLOSED MEETING:

 

As authorized under Section 2.2-3711(A)(3) of the Code of Virginia, I move that the Town Council convene in a closed meeting to discuss or consider  the acquisition of real property for a public purpose, where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the public body. Specifically, the Town Council will discuss the County’s conveyance of land near Woodgrove High School to the Town.

The following are requested to attend the closed meeting:

 

  • All Town Council members
  • Hooper McCann
  • Sally Hankins
  • Dale Lehnig
  • Stacie Alter

MOTION TO ADJOURN THE CLOSED MEETING AND CONVENE THE REGULAR MEETING:

 

 

In accordance with Section § 2.2-3712 of the Code of Virginia, I move that the Purcellville Town Council certify to the best of each member’s knowledge, only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements under Virginia Freedom of Information Act and such public business matters for the purpose(s) identified in the motion by which the closed meeting was convened were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by Town Council.
