MOTION TO GO INTO CLOSED MEETING:

As authorized under Section 2.2-3711(A)(1) of the Code of Virginia, I move that the Town Council convene in a closed meeting to discuss the performance of specific public officers, specifically, one or more members of Town Council.
I further move that as authorized under Section 2.2-3711(A)(8) of the Code of Virginia, the Town Council convene in a closed meeting for consultation with legal counsel employed or retained by the public body regarding specific legal matter requiring the provision of legal advice by such counsel. Specifically, to discuss the performance of one or more members of Town Council.
The following are requested to attend the closed meeting:
- all Town Council members
- Attorney Bill Porter, Virginia Risk Sharing Association

MOTION TO ADJOURN THE CLOSED MEETING AND CONVENE THE REGULAR MEETING:
In accordance with Section § 2.2-3712 of the Code of Virginia, I move that the Purcellville Town Council certify to the best of each member’s knowledge, only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements under Virginia Freedom of Information Act and such public business matters for the purpose(s) identified in the motion by which the closed meeting was convened were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by Town Council.
